Country: Britain. Style: Popular music of the 19th century (including Fanfare and Opera).

Lineup: Katie Hodges (trumpet/cornet/natural trumpet/saxhorn), Fraser Tannock (trumpet/cornet/natural trumpet/saxhorn), Richard Thomas (trumpet/cornet/natural trumpet saxhorn), Martyn Sanderson (trombone/saxhorn), Jeff Miller (ophicleide).

The Prince Regent’s Band was formed in 2013 and performs brass chamber music from the long 19th century. They play original 19th century brass instruments (their own and others borrowed from collections), from trumpets, cornets and trombones to the less familiar saxhorn family and the ophicleide. The group involves a wide group of musicians. At this festival it consisted of two core members, two associate members and a guest. I have photographed Jeff Miller before standing in with the Hackney Colliery Brass Band (www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/19129277543/) and the Bollywood Brass Band (www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/29864241986/).
In this photo: the group play natural trumpets.
