Meabh Meir and Ruth Clinton met while studying at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, and later connected with Lily Power and Sinéad Lynch through Sacred Harp singing. Meabh Meir lives in Belfast and the other three in Dublin (where they are part of the collective which run the club The Night Before Larry Got Stretched).
At this club they demonstrated a varied repertoire: Liam Weldon's "The Well Below The Valley" and " Via Extasia", Peggy Seeger's "The Ballad of Springhill", two songs from the Shenandoah Harmony tradition "Doomsday" and "The Female Convict", the traditional "Farewell to Fiunary", Robert Burn's "Lassie Lie Near Me" and "Ca’ The Yowes" and another Scottish song about a Silkie, and a Slovak song.
