6th August (evening) 2018 at Ham Marquee, Sidmouth (supporting Drever, McCusker & Woomble).

Sidmouth Folk Week / Sounds of Modern Scotland.

Country: Britain - Scotland. Style: Traditional Scottish Folk.

Lineup: Duncan Macleod (v/p), Rachel Campbell (piano accordion), Isla Ratcliff (fiddle/v), Felix Churchill-Moss (mandolin). Sean Clark (g).

This year there was a Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail group which focused on Gaelic Music, and this one came to Sidmouth (other groups were Scots and Ross-shire ones). I saw them twice in the Ham Marquee and the Anchor Garden. To mark the 10th year of the Fèis Rois and Cambridge Folk Festival partnership, the latter were asked to nominate a young musician. This was Felix Churchill-Moss, from Cambridgeshire and living in Somerset. The other musicians were from Bonar Bridge, Oban, Edinburgh and Evanton. I have regularly photgraphed Ceilidh Trail groups at festivals in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Sidmouth. See: www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/tags/feisrois/.
