29th October 2017 at London Irish Centre (Presidential Suite), London NW1.

Return to Camden Town Festival, www.returntocamden.org/.

Country: Ireland (British born). Style: Traditional Irish Folk.

Lineup: Angelina Carberry (tenor banjo), Dan Brouder (button accordion), Brian McGrath (p).

The Banjo-Accordion duo is a rare combination in Irish Traditional Music (the Flannagan Brothers being the best known example), though it is one Angelina Carberry seems to prefer. Following on from her duo with Martin Quinn, she is now performing with Dan Brouder. Carberry was born in Manchester (the daughter of box player Peter Carberry) and moved to Galway in the late 1990s. Brouder is from Newcastle West in Co. Limerick.
In this photo: Carberry plays a Oakwood Tenor Banjo.
