31st May 2018 at Cecil Sharp House (Kennedy Hall), London NW1.

Country: Britain - Scotland & United States & Norway & Sweden. Style: Irish & Scottish & Nordic Traditional.

Lineup: Catriona Macdonald (fiddle), Mairéad Ni Mhaonaigh (fiddle/v), Liz Carroll (fidde), Liz Knowles (fiddle), Annbjørg Lien (fiddle), Emma Härdelin (fiddle/v), Dave Milligan (p), Tore Bruvoll (g), Conrad Ivitsky Molleson (b), James Mackintosh (d) and guest: Karen Ryan (fiddle).

This group's first gig was at Celtic Connections in 2001 when Catriona Macdonald brought together some of her favourite female fiddle players from different traditions for a one off appearance. They have reconvened for the occasional festival in the years since (though they now plan to perform together a bit more regularly). The only change has been Emma Härdelin replacing Natalie McMaster.Tthe group is rounded up to ten with the rhythm section - the Sisters' Misters. I have taken photos of all of them before except Tore Bruvoll, Dave Milligan (who I have seen before with his own Trio, Colin Steele, Ryan Quigley, Catriona Macdonald, Simon Thoumire and the Unusual Suspects) and Conrad Molleson (who I have seen with the Unusual Suspects and Shooglenifty, the latter back in 1996).
