23rd January 2018 at the Royal Concert Hall (Strathclyde Suite), Glasgow (supporting Liz Carroll).
Celtic Connections Festival, www.celticconnections.com/.
Country: Ireland. Style: Traditional Irish & Contemporary Folk.
Lineup: Niamh Dunne (v/fiddle), Seán Óg Graham (g), Conor McCreanor (b).
Niamh Dunne from Co. Limerick is one of a family of travelling musicans - including father Mickey and cousin Pecker (whose "Wexford Town" she sang). She has been part of Beoga since 2005. I took photos of Dunne and Graham with that band in 2013 (www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/sets/72157634643973873/) and more of Graham in an impromptu session with two members of Four Men ana a Dog last year (www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/albums/72157677499867753/). I saw McCreanor a few months ago with Gretchen Peters but he isn't in any of the photos I uploaded to Flickr.
