Putting the 14mm wide angle to the test, was able to compose the 1/4 moon here with the Milky Way in the same frame. The slight lens flare here that resulted was pretty cool too.

The Valley of the Gods was a lovely place to explore at sunset and into the night. My last time here in 2010 was with the point and shoot ... and at that time had no idea how to take a capture at night, or even if it could be done.

Had a great time here as the sun set and the night sky took over, trying out some compositions and various exposures.
