Mid way through our trip we visited family in Oregon. During the couple days there relaxing and enjoying the visit, we did take a couple hours and visit some of the old Scio area covered bridges. This here was the Hannah bridge built in 1936. With the midday lighting and shadows, mono seemed a good fit for this straight on comp to the bridge. Very interesting structure on these bridges ... will post others as I get them processed.

This was my first LE taken along the coast of Oregon. As we arrived there mid morning, the lighting was interesting on the rocks there along the coast. B&W seems to be called for here ... color version will be posted later to compare. As I am still learning the art of B&W processing, any thoughts or tips would be appreciated.
As this area was full of seals and birds, the white on the rocks is guano ;)

This is a capture taken while visiting family in Oregon near Scio with their covered bridges there. This is taken next to one of the bridges, that spans adjacent to a railroad bridge. As I was walking down to get under the bridge and explore, this view caught my eye with the two bridges, the trees, and the reflection there on the river.

Taken along the Oregon Coast, this large seabird (I think a type of Pelican) came gliding along fishing there over the water. I liked this shot with the seals there on one of the rock islands, and also the colorful starfish there on the rock that can be seen there in the bokeh. Still processing many of these shots taken there on our recent trip where we had two days on the coast.

Here is another great comp I think of the covered bridges there in Scio. This mid point in our trip out West was special as we were able to spend several days visiting with relatives out there. Great times had, and this one in particular with two of our younger cousins there putting on their display of covered bridges under the covered bridge there.
