In this pano version, the long exposure allows the ocean to become a foggy mist, and the clouds are sliding in over Ocean City. The moon adds a nice touch up there in the sky.

Moon over Balanced Rock at Arches National Park. Dawn was approaching as I stopped at Balanced Rock on my way to a sunrise hike for Landscape Arch. Was still pretty dark around 4:30 as I entered the park, and the moon caught my eye as I was driving past Balanced Rock. I stopped for a few minutes and took several long exposures walking around in the dark. It was very peaceful out there in the early morning alone in the park (at least at this location.)

Looking south to catch some of the setting sun, including the partial moon. Nice long exposure shows the wonderful motion of the clouds that evening. This was week before Hurricane Sandy came roaring by. I also have a nice cropped version for a panorama that works well from this photo. Will post soon.
