When I planned this summer's trip out west ... new it would be cool in the mountain areas planned, but was not expecting to be standing in nearly two foot of snow along the bank of Mirror Lake in Medicine Bow National Forest.

First time to this area, what a great location. Seeing this light for sunrise made it all the more better to get up early and head up into the highlands of the park.

After the snow, now we are in Utah ... took some stars and sunrise photos at Arches. If I get time will post one of those soon. Heading back out to explore more.

Finally some good internet service in Moab ... been to many other spots with hardly no service ... but that is point of getting away from it all is it not :)
