Oscar ( I also call him Wendell, sometimes) is the oldest of our cats. He's been around for about 14 years now, has developed a few annoying habits, but is still the house favorite.

This is my daughter's dog, Dazee Mae. She is half Bassett Hound and half Beagle. (I call her a Bagle). She is also the world's stupidest dog. I'm not trying to be mean...I'm just stating the facts. She is gentle...loves attention....and is "dumber than a coal bucket with the bottom stomped out of it! " (Another Southernism). She moves about as fast as she thinks...very slooooow. The one thing she can do very well is eat, and weighs over 50 lb. She is good natured though, and didn't object too much for her sleep being disturbed while I put the Santa hat on her.

This is my dog, Rufus George McNasty. My wife rescued him off the side of the road a few years ago. Then, he only weighed about 9 lbs. and was so skinny. Somehow he got named Rufus, and then I started calling him, George as well. Because he has fuzzy, wirey hair that sticks straight out when it's long,, my oldest daughter didn't I(and still doesn't) like to touch him, calling him, "Nasty." Later, she started calling him, McNasty...thus his name (and it's on his dogtag too)! He is one of the most lovable dogs I've ever had, because he trusts anyone and everyone. When I'm home, he is by me, on me, or near me 99% of the time. When my wife and I go to bed at night...he gets in the middle and sometimes sleeps with his head on my arm. If I'm away for a few days, he goes nuts! I usually keep his hair trimmed down through the summer, just leaving his eyelashes, goatee, and the spike (along the top of his head) long. He's starting to get pretty long here, and, as you can see, it sticking out every which way!

Yes, there is a camel in Southwest Virginia. This is probably the only camel in Lee County, and can usually be seen just east of Jonesville, Va. just off Hwy 58. It looks like a grooming and a good makeover are in order. The guy who owns it also has a zebra, dozens of buffalo, a Texas longhorn, and a llama.

This is my daughter's dog, Dazee Mai, the world's dumbest dog (no kidding)! This is the same dog I posted back before Christmas. She is half Beagle and half Basset Hound. I call her a Bagle, and she weighs over 56 pounds. This shot was taken Saturday morning while I had the dogs out to do their thing! Unfortunately, her face is slightly out of focus because she was running at full tilt toward me while I shot. I tried to get her in a run again, but this little jaunt pretty much wore her out!

Some of you may be familiar with the caption. It comes from comedian, Ron White.
