This trestle spans the North Fork of White River in Norfork, Arkansas. The stone columns underneath the structure were quarried from a nearby hill, and rolled to the construction site. From what I can learn, the bridge was built about 1909.

Yes, there is a road underneath this water. Back in the spring, Arkansas received heavy downpours which caused major flooding. Even after a dry summer, the lakes are still high. This is where an access road should be at Norfork Lake n Henderson, AR. Several roads and lake parking areas are still under water because of flooding. Norfork Lake is 17.78 ft. MSL (mean sea level) above full stage.
