This little church, located on Sandy Ridge Rd. near Jonesville, Va. is the first church I ever pastored. I began preaching here in late 1996, and continued until my resignation in the early fall of 2003. The church was organized about 1940, and the land donated by the McConnell family. It has undergone several remodeling jobs over the years: steps, vinyl siding, handicapped ramp, and air conditioning while I was there, and a new roof and fellowship hall in the last several years.

Remember...Thanksgiving is not all about the dinner, the football, or even the family. It is ALL about God!

I am thankful to all my Flickr friends I've made over the years, who regularly comment on my photos...regardless how good or bad they may be! Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

This is one of the stained glass windows in the church (Rose Dale Missionary Baptist Church) that I currently pastor. It is located about five miles out of Rose Hill, Va. on Giles Hollow Road. The only lighting used was the morning sunshine coming through the window.

This old Lee County, Va. church (built in 1904 and used until a new sanctuary was built in 1969) is one of my favorite local structures to photograph. I been here several times, made some decent shots, but am still in search of "THE" photo.
