Last Wednesday's sunrise at Derwent water will probably go down as one of my all time favourites, with light mist and frost turning the landscape into a magical scene.
When I first arrived near Friars crag I was the only one, by the time I took this there were around 10 of us trying to capture the scene without each other in it, although I thought this view with a tog in it looked fab.

On the only day we had a fair amount of rain on our recent Lake district trip, the evening finished with a nuclear sunset which blazed across Lake Windermere and seemed to go on forever and had photographers capturing its beauty on whatever they had to hand. Great to see the pleasure cruiser pull up and finish for the night and make a fab subject to capture too.
