20 pairs of storks populate roofs in Rust
In Rust on Lake Neusiedl, there is already clattering and fluttering vigorously over the roofs of the houses. 20 pairs of storks have moved into the nests above the smoke traps.
"There are four more than last year," said Josef Karassowitsch, the chairman of the Stork Association, on Tuesday at the APA. Karassowitsch had climbed the tower of the Catholic parish church on Monday to count the storks. He also noticed that some couples have already had children.
