The center of the busy old town is the Getreidegasse - a narrow pedestrian street with traditional and antique shops. In Mozart's birth house there are exhibitions on the composer's childhood. The DomQuartier houses the 17th century Salzburg Cathedral with dome and the Baroque residence with works of art by Rembrandt and Rubens. The Hohensalzburg Fortress with several museums and a view of the city can be reached via a steep footpath or with a funicular.
