Also quite weird not having to sneak up on my subject - but at least the word 'stalk' is still applicable. I was a little bit alarmed when I heard that the government is seeking to introduce a new law on 'stalking' soon; my wife has since reassured me that they were talking about something else entirely.
...back to deer soon :-)
PS - Beyond "Fly Agaric" I'm struggling with the ID on these, so if anyone can add some insight then your input/knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a complete novice on fungi, but this massive, colourful example caught my eye.
After a bit of research I think this could possibly be Laetiporus sulphureus (Chicken of the Woods)? - but I'll bow to the wisdom of others on this!
River Crouch Walker - if you are looking at this, then perhaps you might be the ideal person to help please?! I know you have a great knowledge of this sort of thing :-)
