Tolbachik lava field from eruption in 2012, Kamchatka Peninsula.
On 27 November 2012, a strombolian type eruption started from two fissures in Tolbachik area. Basaltic lava flows move relatively fast and up to 20 kilometers from the line of fissures on the volcano's southern flank. The eruption ended on 15 September 2013.
