This beautiful bird (Callipepla californica), also known as “California Quail” or “Valley Quail”, is a ground-dwelling quail, and it has a curving crest or plume, made of six feathers, that droops forward, black in males and brown for females.
The quail was originally found in the southwestern United States, but they have been introduced into other areas including British Columbia, Hawaii, Chile and New Zealand.
It is a highly sociable bird and often gathers in small flocks, it is also the state bird (symbol) of California.

The thub from the confrontation of these heavy “pachyderms” (from the Greek word thick and skin), were heard at a great distance.
In every bump, great chunks of mud fell from their bodies, revealing the rough texture of their 2-5 cm thick skin, formed from many layers of collagen.
Rhinoceros (from the Greek words: nose and horn) is one of largest remaining “megafauna” animals, able to reach one tone or more in weight.
This herbivorous giants, with the relatively very small brains for mammals, are killed by humans for their horns, which are bought and sold on the black market, (costing as much as gold) and which are used in some Asian countries for ornamental and traditional medicinal purposes.
Both African and Sumatran species have two horns, while the Indian and Javan ones have only one.
