Taken with a kite lofted camera from the so-called Kaapsduin (Cape dune). In the foreground a concrete foundation that probably formed an artillery position. Nowadays it is a lookout post with a more peaceful purpose.

Once built and used by occupying forces, now a lookout post with a more peaceful purpose on the highest sand dune on Terschelling island, just to the west of West, the main village.
The oldest lighthouse in The Netherlands. A true landmark and still in use.
