This is a shortwave wire antenna system that will be lofted by a suitable kite (depending on the kind of wind that's blowing). It will be used in combination with a so-called HF transceiver to establish long distance communications.
for a shutter servo. For cameras without electronic solutions but with a hotshoe. Let me show you in just over 2 minutes... But not here as flickr only allows 90 seconds of video. So for the complete footage go to vimeo.
Two Levitation Light delta kites by Into The Wind. I wasn't that sure about the behaviour of my spare delta, so I decided to check on how it behaved compared with my trusty old Levi Light during flight. As you can see both kites show identical flight characteristics. No need to worry and doubt any longer. All is fine. Case closed.
P.S. apologies for the unsteady footage. I had one reel in one hand and the camera in the other, lifting it above my head. Shaky as hell, but the intention was good.
And why does Flickr only allow 1:30 of HD video...
