Nieuwe Kerk (ie. the New Church) in Delft was constructed beginning in 1381 and largely completed in1496. The Gothic style church is dominated by its tower. It is the second tallest church tower in Holland at about 108 metres.
The church is located on main Market Square where it stands opposite City Hall .
The church is where many members of the Netherland's royal family, the House of Orange, is buried.

There was a carnival in Dam Square when I visited. Behind the feris wheel, in the background, is the front façade of the Royal Palace of Amsterdam in Amsterdam (Koninklijk Paleis van Amsterdam).
Dam Square is situated in the historical center of Amsterdam and is frequently the site of public events.
