Memories from the 80s
This picture is from the 80s and we lived behind the Iron Curtain in East Berlin, GDR. Boys with long hair were outsiders and outlaws for many people. Too Western-inspired. When we wanted to get out, we hitchhiked through the Republic... always in circles. Memories to the Doors, Wishful Thinking, Frank Zappa, Velvet Underground, Tom Waits and dancing around the campfire... We celebrated the Ramones, Sex Pistols, Motörhead and Rolling Stones, Cream, CCR, Neil Young, Johnny Winter, ZZ Top and many other musicians and imagined us what a road trip on Route 66 would be like... And sometimes we felt like revoluzzer... haha. For some it really was true...
Btw.. I caught up on the road trip on Route 66... Steppenwolf in my luggage
P.S. Mustaches were very fashionable among men....I think everywhere *smile*

...is the subject of a small but fine photo exhibition by Ingrid Ubben in Hamburg. When I read that she managed to present her photos to the public, I didn't want to miss this highlight and visited to see her in her "Olymp".
I'am following her on Flickr for years and always admire her unique perspective on things that we take for granted instead of stopping and changing our perspective. She doesn't go with the flow but that's the beauty of it. Photography is so versatile that Ingrid shows impressively and always provides an eye-catcher. Sometimes sensitive, sometimes funny or rational in lines and shapes. The collage only shows a small part of her photos....my favorite photos, of course *wink*smile*
And a portrait of Ingrid shouldn't be missing, who but is so much warmer than I can convey here.

St. Pauli Elbe Tunnel
The old landmark of the city of Hamburg leads 24 meters underground and 426.5 meters directly to the Elbe island of Steinwerder. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass through the tunnel free of charge day and night. Built in 1911
