Found this Great Blue Heron preening on a lakeside branch backed by extremely bright sun glare on the water behind it. Glare was literally blinding with no way to get a normal exposure so decided to just silhouette it in B&W. Saw it from a distance and shot this photo, then slowly walked with a tree blocking my view and got a bit closer for others.

Tonemapped in mono for fun. Didn't notice the spider on the ear until later. Horses I have visited many times were out and came near the fence when they saw me approach so had to stop for a visit and a few photos.

Fishing against the extremely bright and glaring reflection of the sun. Had to just stop and shoot quickly from about 40 yards away as I could tell they was getting ready to change locations. Part of a nearby tree on the left. The glare was almost blinding leaving rim light around the subject but kind of liked the effect. Hope they were successful, but even if not, it was a beautiful, crisp Autumn morning to be enjoyed.

Tiny frog out in the lake in the bright reflective glare of the late day sun. Decided to go a bit high key B&W for fun. Sorry for so many photos again, just saving to albums.

Two of many dark-eyed juncos during a snowfall. I was just focusing on the one on the right, couldn't quite get the one on left completely in the frame but left it as is. Went B&W for fun. They love this tiny 12" high sprig growing up by our redbud tree. Leave it there just for the birds. All photos taken handheld from our barely open front door.

Very darkish, flat light on all photos, some not quite in focus so detail not the best with quite a bit of noise but saving a few from our first real snowfall. These are so cute, love their high energy personality. Hopefully better ones once sun returns.
