Found this bluebird catching some warming rays of the sun on an 8 below zero Fahrenheit (-22C) morning at Shawnee Mission Park. Both his beautiful colors and cheery personality brightened the bitterly cold winter scene. First time for me to get a photo of one.

Three gulls enjoying the warmth of the morning sun and sharing a log along the lakeshore at Wyandotte County Lake. There were 4 or 5 more that took off just prior to me taking the photo, just my luck! :)
