The first time I saw one of these I thought the owner just hadn't finished painting the hot rod, but soon realized this is a style know at Rat Rods. Actually very cool in their own way. The rainy day of this car show and the setting in an old area of town under the 12th Street Viaduct seem to fit its personality.

Custom made hood ornament on hot rod with 2 high performance V-6's linked together in-line, thus the V-12 reference. The carburetors of the two engines are visible behind the ornament.

A rainy morning but the car show went on as planned in the old West Bottoms warehouse district of Kansas City. Crowds picked up after this photo was taken. Many of the cars were under the viaduct bridge seen on the left here so not seen in this photo.
