I don't normally do twitching, but I knew this beauty was on my sons local pond, so what else could I do, but visit them both.

They were once regular visitors, but along with every other area numbers are declining. The bird is now red listed in the Uk.

I was pleased to see that there were now three males on our local pond. Sadly though no females were in evidence.
