I don't normally do twitching, but I knew this beauty was on my sons local pond, so what else could I do, but visit them both.

Pintail - Anas acuta

Silsden Pond - Yorkshire

Many thanks to all those who take the time to comment on my photos. It is truly appreciated.

They were once regular visitors, but along with every other area numbers are declining. The bird is now red listed in the Uk.

I was pleased to see that there were now three males on our local pond. Sadly though no females were in evidence.

Pochard male - Aythya Ferina

Yeadon Tarn Leeds

Many thanks as always to all those kind enough to stop by and comment , fave or even just view my photos. It is as always very much appreciated and welcome.
