The first camera pic I have taken since Christmas Day. Too busy with house renovations to do much photography! Anyway Al (#2 son) rang and said that the daily QANTAS Santiago to Sydney flight was routed over the centre of the South Island of NZ, so I did get the camera and 150-600mm lens and took a couple of pics!

As some of you may have noticed I haven’t been posting pics the frequently recently. I started my second “Photo a Day” project on 01/01/2016 and carried on till mid October 2023. We have been doing some major house alterations (started mid September) and photography was not an important issue, but they are staring to wind down now so I have picked up the camera twice in the last two days. The Royal New Zealand Air Force training squadron (Beechcraft Texan aircraft) did a 15 minute performance over New Brighton beach to coincide with the completion of ‘The Longest Day’ the one-day multi sport crossing of the South Island from Kumara Beach (between Greymouth and Hokitika on the West Coast) to New Brighton on the east coast.
