Two Athearn HO scale SD70ACe locomotives, one from Kansas City Southern (KCS) and the other a Union Pacific (UP) Heritage locomotive in the Westerrn Pacific scheme sit in the yard at Willow Springs, Missouri, on my friends just started model railroad. The code 83 track is yet to be ballasted, but at least several DCC sound equipped locos ran through the yard trackage.

Brendon Groufsky's Athearn Genesis SD75M , my Athearn Genesis Union Pacific Heritage unit UP1983 in the Western Pacific heritage scheme, and at the back an Atlas Silver Series U23B (#2254) in the green Western Pacific scheme. All locos DCC and sound.

HO scale Santa Fe GP60M model on my friend Brendion's layout. Still a little track to lay and then run it for a few months before any ballasting and scenery work is done.
It is DCC using the NCE system and Bruce Chubb's Computer Model Railroad Interface (CMRI) system is being installed.

My good friend Brendon had the Golden Spike ceremony on his Willow Springs model railroad on Friday night, attended by the regular Friday night team, his Thursday night team and his wife.
All the track is laid, and now the installation of turnout (point) motors and wiring continue. We will operate the layout for several months (maybe a year) to iron out any problems before work on scenery starts.
