One of the pier ramp supports frames the pier as a strong and warm Nor' West wind whips up the sea and drives dry sand along the beach.

Next month is the 6th anniversary of the devastating earthquake and still the South New Brighton jetty is broke and not repaired. Across the other side of the Avon-Heathcote Estuary there are new sea walls, new cycle/walking paths, etc, but not in the east!

Prior to the earthquakes it was level and straight.

The recent rain means the Estuary is dirty, and it is approaching high tide.
