A stitch of 16 images shot with the 40mm STM on the Canon 10D

Originally stitched with Canon Photo Stitch, but I was unhappy with the result uploaded (banding in the sky on left side, plus a couple of other small issues) , so redid the stitch using the Lightroom/Photoshop merge to panorama operation and replaced the image on 22/08/14.

An early Spring storm is approaching Christchurch from the south (see clouds at right), with forecasts of 6-7m waves and snow to low levels but it is a beautiful Spring morning at present and the water in the estuary is as clear as I have ever seen it. It won't be tomorrow!

This is a stitch of 12 shots (shot vertically) at 24mm on a 1.6x crop factor and stitched automatically in Photoshop.

Another 180° pano at the Avon-Heathcote Estuary, this time in mono. 15 shots at 24mm in portrait mode, stitched in Lightroom and converted to mono in Nik Silver Effects Pro, using the "Wet Rocks" preset as a starting point.

Across the estuary are the suburbs of Redcliffs, Mt Pleasant and Ferrymead.

Two minutes after the last shot was taken it started to rain!

There were some good cloud formations brewing south of the city (Christchurch), so I went to the end of the street where I currently live and shot 20 vertical shots to form this approximately 130° panorama. The estuary, and outlet to the sea is to the left.

Seven years ago, the area across the river (Bexley) was full of houses, all but one have gone as the area was "red zoned" after the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes.
