A pic of the ten prints on the wall at the 2009 Photographic Society of New Zealand annual conference, Wanganui April 2009 that gained my Licentiate of the Photographic Society of NZ.
A Licentiate is supposed to show some amount of diversity, so I decided on 3 x transport related images, 3 x human activity related images and 4 x nature images.
To select, I printed about 120 pics postcard size and spent many days and weeks arranging in various combinations of ten (the required number for a Licentiate), till I found this combination.
The layout, as hung on the wall in Wanganui was exactly as I had envisaged it before sending away my submission to the judging panel.
Top row (L to R) and year each image was shot:
Wingtip Sunset (2006), Family Hub (2006), Blue, Red and Green (2005)
Middle Row:
Traction Man (2008), Downhill Racer (2008), Airborne Rescue (2008)
Bottom Row:
Pied Stilt in flight (2008), Falcon's Rest (2008), Copulating Pukekos (2008), Blue Damselfly (2008)
To give some idea of size, that is an A4 sheet on the left with the print titles.
There is about a 30-35% pass rate, although the preceding year (2008) it was under 17%, and one of those lucky enough to get his LPSNZ that year was my eldest son Timothy.
All but three of the images were shot on equipment sourced from Photo & Video, Merivale, Christchurch, the prints printed on an Epson R2400 printer using inks and paper, all from Photo & Video. Only the mat board and backing were not from Photo & Video (they don't stock it!).

The sun sets on a Pacific Blue B737 flight from Brisbane (Australia) to Christchurch (NZ) in January 2006. The shadow line on the wingtip is from the fuselage of the plane. The bright white refelction on the wing is from the moon higher in the sky. About 41,000' somewhere over the Tasman Sea.
Included in the 2007 edition of New Zealand Camera.
