Known locally as "Finkle Abbey" the site dates from as early as 1196 but didn't become a significant building until the latter half of the 13th century. It remained a priory until the dissolution of the lesser monasteries in 1536. I took this image back in Autumn 2018 but due to the lack of mist, despite conditions being favourable, it has sat on my hard drive every since. About time I released it.
