From 4 October 2015 George Street Sydney will no longer see bus traffic. On the following day work will commence on on the construction of Sydney's CBD and South Eastern light rail line.

To mark the occasion and the disappearance of buses from this major city artery the Sydney Bus Museum ran a 'cavalcade of buses' between Bridge Street and Railway Square during the afternoon of 3 October - we were there to witness the event.
