My entry into The Teleidoscope's first theme of the year! The theme for this first week is New Perspective. I think that this theme is also quite fitting for my new outlook for 2012. I find that while I'm not generally a negative person, I tend to be impartial or neutral about a lot of things which doesn't really get me anywhere, my new perspective for the year (and hopefully for the rest of my years) is to try new things, accept what is being offered to me, and put myself out there.
I'm so excited that the group is doing another 52 weeks (or 26 if you prefer) of themes, I helped create the list of themes and I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone creates. I'd love it if you stop on over to the group and play along!

My entry for The Teleidoscope's Week #2 Theme: Impact
When I saw the theme for this week, the first idea that came into my head was a star or asteroid impacting earth. I love those brief moments when you can look up and see a shooting star and within that tiny glimpse it's gone...but where?
I underestimated how cold it would be while taking this shot tonight and foolishly only brough a light jacket and some gloves, checking the weather now I see that it's around -14celcius so not terribly cold but it sure felt like it!

This is my entry for The Teleidoscope's Week #3 theme: Movie Star, went for a vintage hollywood type of photo :)
I had a lot of fun putting this together, making some props and raiding the prop room in the school I work at, so many cool props that I can't wait to sneak in to a photo (seriously, I found a suitcase full of foam skulls...how cool is that?)
I liked this quote that's part of my 100 Quotes project. I think that quiet people are often misunderstood as being boring or disinterested. I'm a quiet person and I think it's because I like to say the right thing rather than say a lot of things, I think a lot about my words and how they can be interpreted. I'm quiet, and that's alright with me :)

For The Teleidoscope's Week #4 theme: Develop
The first image that came to mind when I thought of this theme,was a big camera creating images that could come to life, luckily I still had my cardboard polaroid from last year which worked out perfectly!
I just want to give you all a huge thank you for helping me out with the Talenthouse Contest, I'm not sure on the final results but I was blown away by your support and kindness and I hope that one day I can repay all the good karma that directed my way :)

My entry for The Teleidoscope's Theme: Memories. This image to me captures the idea of self portaiture, showing the two different sides that a photographer takes when shooting an image from both sides of the camera, I wanted it to show that moment of capturing a memory by camera.
I've had this vintage style camera for about a month and I've been waiting to use it for the right shot and it seemed perfect for today! It doesn't actually work, I think it's made from tin but it looks pretty nice in my living room :)
