This came out a bit different than I had planned but there were some sketchy looking people in front of the wall I wanted to use and I didn't really feel like asking them to leave so that I could take photos of myself wearing a gryffindor scarf...and while I was taking this photo (plus several more of myself attempting to "fly" through the wall by flinging myself at it) a few students walked by and I had to appear semi-normal.....
Our weather is calling for thunderstorms for the next few days so I'm hoping that the clouds will provide me with some great photo opportunities for the photos I have planned, I think this may be the first time I've wished for crappy weather in the middle of summer!

You had to see it coming, in fact some of you even messaged me to see if I was going to do some Harry Potter inspired photos this week. I'm planning on doing a full week of Potter inspired photos and I've been coming up with some cool ideas. I'm hoping to watch all the films during this week so that I'm all ready for the final film this weekend. Yikes!
So today I ran probably one of the hardest races I've ever done. It was short, only 9km but it was UP A MOUNTAIN. Literally we started at the base of the mountain and ran up the forestry road to the top. Well, ran/walked as it was insane! There was about 3500 ft gain in elevation over those 9km and while I had hoped to finish under an hour I was a bit off, 1:07 but I still came in first! I wanted to do a photo today with the mountain in it so you could see what I ran up but my legs feel like bricks and I think I need to rest up tonight, maybe tomorrow I'll go and take one.

I have a lot of scarves, when you live in snow and cold for 5 months out of the year, you amass quite the collection of winter wear. Out of all my scarves I think that my handmade Gryffindor scarf that I received as a gift is one of my favourites and it always makes for a great Harry Potter prop :)
The handmade wand is part of my halloween costume from last year and I made my owl last year as a school project, handmade props for the win!

Quite possibly my most frustrating jumping shot to date. If I would have paid attention to the weather approaching perhaps it would have been a little more fun. I decided to hike up a mountain to do this shot but failed to notice the oncoming blizzard that was preparing to envelope the area. Just as I got to the top, the snow started flying and I there I was, jumping like a fool in the middle of it!
Thankfully the wind slowed and the sun popped out for a little bit and I managed to get in a few shots before shivering my way back home. The things we do for Flickr!

Anyone for a match? Q is a difficult letter to work with, there are lots of words that start with it, but none of them seemed to spark an idea so I went with the first (and best?) Q word that came to mind.
Today is my Friday even though it's Thursday (yay for friday's off!) and this has been a crazy week at work so I'm totally looking forward to spending tomorrow in relaxation mode.
