I could eat a whole football field of cheerios and I don't think they'd make me any "cheery" today, I'm having a total blah day and so far almost everything that could be made more difficult today has been...ugh....

I'm getting a tad stressed about my upcoming bike trip, not so much about the trip itself but more the prep that needs to be done beforehand, especially the fundraising. Deep down I know that it will all work out but I tend to be worrier until the last minute, I just need to take a few deep breaths and have faith.

Just kind of a simple shot today as I'm taking it easy and not stretching my brain..lol....

Last night's performance was incredible. All the students and support workers met at the school and took turns riding in a limo to the theatre and it was so cute to see how excited all the kids were. The theatre was packed and everyone did such a good job, there were many tears and hugs backstage after the final curtain call. We received so much positive feedback it was such a wonderful feeling, now we get to do it all over again tonight!

Thank you for all your love and support, you have no idea how much it means to me.

An addition to my "Peaceful Food" series, this one has been "swimming" in my head for a few weeks :)

I just want to thank you all for the positive and uplifting comments and emails that you sent yesterday regarding me losing my job. I don't think it really sunk in until today but reading over the kind words that you left really helped keep me in high spirits and facing towards a better light.

I went over my options today with my supervisor and while they aren't ideal for me staying at this school, it looks as though there are a few positions I can apply for in the district as well as a few I can bump people out of (which I'd hate to do, but....) My supervisor was quite upset about the whole situation and at one point I was the one calming her down and reassuring her that things would work out in the end.

Behold my wonderful creation! I made this first thing this morning (even before the coffee had finished brewing!) It's Thanksgiving up here in Canada and it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without Pumpkin Pie and it wouldn't be my pumpkin pie if I didn't add some "peace" to jazz it up!

The recipe is from the always amazing Sarah Kramer, (yes it's 100% vegan) her and I were tweeting back and forth this morning about eating pie for breakfast. Well, I didn't have it for breakfast but it make an excellent brunch treat!

I'm off to spend the rest of the day with the family, eating too much and hopefully taking lots of photos! Happy Thanksgiving fellow Canadians :)

This was one of the images I did up for our christmas cards (some of you may recognize it!). I had grand plans of making a peaceful food calendar to give as christmas presents but I'm a few months short of shots so maybe next year!
