Did you know yesterday was Dragon Appreciation Day? Obviously I didn't or else I would have used one in yesterday's image! But a day late will just have to do, hopefully any dragons reading this will forgive my tardiness.

This image is actually a recreation of one I made a decade ago! I thought it would be fun in this current 365 project to go back and redo some of the older images I've done, seeing if I can improve or evolve the ideas.

To celebrate (a day late) dragon apprection day here's a dragon joke for you.
.
๐Ÿ‰What type of stories and folktales are dragons famous for?
Long tales. ๐Ÿ‰

How I prefer to socially distance, inside my own version of an isolation bubble with a book in hand. Just drip some coffee in once in a while and I'll be sorted!

What would your ideal socially distance bubble look like?

Ever have those days where your next coffee seems just out of reach? Like no matter how many sips you have it's just not quite enough? That's certainly my kind of day...or week...possibly year haha!

The process of this 365 project has really been interesting, I'm trying not to put a lot of pressure on myself to create and taking inspiration from whatever small thought or fleeting inspiration I may have, like this image, inspired by a sudden appearance of a new cup of coffee brought right to me by surprise!

Have you had any pleasant surprises lately?

Needing a bit of blue sky today, it's been one of those very grey days, like the feeling of lukewarm tea or the fuzzy static when the television stops playing. Some days are just like that.
It can get overwhelming, the news and the realities of everything going on around us all the time. I find that when I have more time to sit and watch the news or scroll through what people are saying, I absorb more and more of it until I'm like a sponge filled up with so much that it has nowhere else to go. That's where days like this come in, those grey days that are sort of the sign that it's time to recharge, empty the sponge, shake out the news and sit in front of the blue skies again.
One thing that an author once shared about these sorts of days is that just because the sun is hiding behind the layers of cloud, it doesn't mean it's not there. It doesn't mean it won't set tonight and rise tomorrow, and the next day, and the next. It's reassuring to remember that when you're having those grey days, that the blue sky days are always there, coming again soon.

The last few days seem to have fluttered right by. Though the weather has felt a bit grey and moody, there's been lots of moments of light punctuating the hours.

I think often we look for our lives to be all light and only good all the time but it's important to remember that our lives are meant to be multi-faceted, that having a balance in our lives is ok and that if we have those down days, that they're temporary and that those moments of light will always be there to flutter and fly through and light things up again.
