It seems like in the last week the seasons truly changed here in the mountains. We went from sunshine to snow and the frosty mountain air rustles through the branches each morning.
This image was inspired by that transition of seasons, time, mood that happens in November. When the clocks go back, when the seasons move forward and I end up feeling a bit stuck in between. Not wanting to say goodbye to the warmth, not looking forward to the darker evenings and the longer nights but knowing that, like the clock, everything has to keep going, keep moving.
It may sound funny but this is one of my favourite trees in the world. It's perched on the edge of a small alkaline lake and has always felt like a magic tree for some reason. Do you have a favourite tree?
