My clients last week wanted to do a sunset at the bird rookeries, so this is what it looked like. I think that they liked it.

While probably not my best image but at least its a start for things to come…hopefully. I was camping last week at this State Park, some of which borders the Santa Fe River. There must have been a really strong wind storm in this area as there were many large trees felled and the spanish moss was devoid for the most part.

This is a vertical 6 image pano made the next morning after a test made the evening before. I was totally amazed to see that both panos begin and end in the exact same location…probable could never do that again.

At least I didn't forget how to setup and use my camera after nearly a 15 month layoff.

I know at least one person will enjoy this if only she was here.

Many of my Nature & Wildlife images are now available in beautiful canvas wrap prints as well as canvas prints in a natural wood floater frame. This is a 4 image vertical panoramic using my homemade Nodial Point panoramic bracket and Photoshop CS6.

This is a pretty winding river, not too wide, but the number of blown down trees is astounding, not to mention the loss of the spanish moss that would normally be quite heavy. The "Sink" is just around the corner on the right.

Santa Fe River Springs
The Santa Fe River of north-central Florida is fed by the flow from many underground springs: Ginnie, Poe, Hornsby, Lilly, Rum Island, and Gilchrist Blue, to name a few. In fact, during dry seasons, the collective spring flow can make up the majority of the water flow in the river.

This unique river itself originates in a headwater swamp, disappears underground in what is called a 'Sink', flowing underground in the Floridian Aquifer and re-emerges (along with additional groundwater) at then Santa Fe River 'Rise'.

As the crow fly's, I map measured approximately 2.9 miles between the Sink and the Rise of which there are numerous ponds that may or may not be interconnected. Underwater geological surveys by divers have been done over the years to gain more knowledge about the Santa Fe River.

This is a five image vertical panorama.
