Although this image was not made inside the RMNP, I had seen this scene before snow on one of the short cuts on my way up to the park. One morning during a light snow, I decide to take my short cut on my way up to the park. The snow on the ground made all the difference in this simple image.

When I lived in CO. (Longmomt) I would go out in the early morning after and during a light dusting of snow and seek out images. Snow covered ground creates a much different image as opposed to that same image without the snow.

While leaving my friends mountain cabin one morning I found the temperature the night before left behind what is called horar frost. I spent the morning working many images of this frost conditions. Mt. Meeker is at elevation13,911 ft. The cabin I was staying in was at 9,000 ft or so. just around to the left.

I found this old car front end one fall day while driving around when I lived out in Colorado. It was used as yard art. I just knew this would make a great winter image and after an evening snow I headed out here for this image.

I'm in one of my creative moods for whatever reasons. So I have revisited some of my western landscapes made back in 02 and thought that I would see what I could come with for that extra added element to boost certain images. I have hundreds of these from Colorado that have never been worked on.
I lived in Longmont, CO for about 2 years and spent a great deal of time in the Rocky Mountain National Park.
