Abandoned beehive burner by a slough in Autumn near Clatskanie, Oregon.
At one time, these beehive, also called wigwam, or teepee, burners were commonly seen in the Pacific Northwest. They were used by the lumber industry to burn waste. Nowadays, it's kind of rare to see one, and I believe it's illegal to operate them anymore.
