I BEG you to SEE this one LARGER

Thinking about and visualizing the bioenergetic (biochemical and bioelectrical) transformations that allow us all those wonderful Dreams in life.
How does a thought in one's mind start and grow into a full color visualization of an event, even a "story" that seems to last hours... in just minutes or SECONDS!?!

The immense chemical and electrical pulsed energies and how this miracle happens are not understood even now in this incredible era of High Science.

My work here takes the viewer into a deep, behind-the-scenes, impressionistic visualization of microscopic events that may be happening at the dream level...

NOT ALL OF YOU IS SLEEPING!

(Mangroves are trees in coastal tropical areas, their structure and root systems are interwoven in incredible forms... the complex root systems are visible and above the water... they form dense impenetrable areas, dark and shady.)

Come, enter my Dream, larger here
PERSISTENCE OF A FADING MEMORY

An amazing thought I'm in,
bright, colorful and dimensional,
but not very clear.
Forms are sliding, melting and disappearing,
as I struggle to find a reality anchor point.

There are people here,
I can feel their presence.
I see vague, distorted faces,
with other eyes, mouths and noses here and there.
Do I know you? Do you know me?

Flickering flames and fabric folds,
with object forms almost materializing,
then dissapating like mists.
A clock? Books? Caves?
Are they things or thoughts?

Writing of an unusually beautiful script
floats around me with the repeating sound
of an old typewriter faintly echoing
a clever message that I can't decipher.
An amazing thought I'm in.

Last chance, I'm waking up, come on into my Dream here
LAST OF THE SERIES of THREE

I woke up ever so slowly...
savoring the afterglow photons
still roaming my brain synapses.

Trying to remember it all
was futile.
Far too much had happened
it such a short time,
probably a few seconds?

It was an inspiring colorful journey,
so fluid from scene to scene,
that made perfect sense at the time.

All 3 works assembled into a triptych,
representing the dream's stages and "blending" of things that must occur in the mind as it's created on the fly.
Each Dream seems to have an overall coherency, as seen in the similar but different elements here.

That our brains do all this in full motion, audio and visual, living color while we "sleep" still astounds me.

For me the original 3 works have so much detail that this ends up being overwhelming en group, but the original intent was to do a series of the dream "process", I just need a BIG building side to paint it on!!!
(I do apologize for the lack of detail... the Flickr process really knocked this one apart... original has great clarity...)
