BIG THING GOES FANTASTICALLY COLORFULLY NEARLY ABSTRACT!
This THING just reminded me of his amazing wacky creations...

in fact here is some great inspired prose
THANKS to one of Flickr's best poets in residence,
Silver Crow in Flight (Steve Upton):

ODE TO THING XIII
I will not ride inside your train
I will not ride it bound for Spain
I will not ride it in a box
I will not ride it eating lox
I do not like the red caboose
I do not like to eat cooked goose
I will not sit inside your train
I will not till I'm totally sane!

the THING's Main heart & brain piece...
total assemblage is about 80 ft long!
The Blue Boober Gloober (center) plays circus calliope music while it works!
sure looks Dr Seuss-y to me,
in fact here is some great inspired prose THANKS to one of Flickr's best poets in residence,

I beg you to take a second and View Larger on Black here

"I met a traveler from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
`My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away".

... The nearly 200 year old “Ozymandias” sonnet by Shelley,
with its subject the all-Powerful Egyptian king Ramses II,
whose own Supreme Power came and went... over 3000 years ago!
Ahhh... the universal Truths!
The transitory nature of Man & Machine Power.
This huge old locomotive,
only 80 short years ago,
was once a magnificently roaring, powerful mechanical beast,
now it lies quiet and still, unable to even move,
slowly rusting back into tiny bits of elemental form.
