As I wrote about in another work, these Autumn Japanese gardens are truly inspiring places.
After working this photo 12 different ways over 3 hours, as a plain photo it just didn't convey what I felt. This impressionistic rendering gives it much more of the Life & Light Energy I felt while witnessing this quietly spectacular scene.
(I find best time to visit these type gardens is early morning after a rain... the wetness adds a great darkness to all the trunks and branches, making the colors SEEm even more vivid)
