My Alienbees Flash was used here, I miss that. *I plan on getting a new one eventually, when I feel like it's the right 'time'.. Right now, I really wouldn't be using it too much, right now- so it's not super important.

HIDDEN BEAUTY.
What if... a question that we often ask ourselves about the past.
- What if I would have left?
...The reality is I didn't. So, there's that.
What if I realized my worth, back then?
Well.. I didn't, so there's that.
~There is a lot of what if's that I could ponder on, all day.. and drive myself crazy. But I won't, because I've already done that.. and it just hurts.
However, if I would have done all of that.. Who knows what would have happened.. but I do know that I wouldn't be who I am today.. Because I wouldn't have subjected myself to all of that pain.. and learned from it. I wouldn't have experienced what I did.. to make me stronger, wiser & more confident in who I am today..
I did a lot.
I went thru a lot.
I have had so much pain.
But, I'm finding myself.
Building up myself.
And finding true happiness, within myself.
Because, I forgave myself.
& Today, I am trying to find that hidden beauty that I've buried so deep over the years.. and forgot. I'm finally going to exhale.. and stop holding my breath.
I'm finally doing to live.
& No body can ever stop me.. or take away who I am.. ever again.
Because I've found that hidden beauty within myself. I've found the girl that I always longed to be. I've found happiness. I've found forgiveness. & I am going to breathe. Finally..
& It's beautiful.

Rest in Peace, Sad Dragonfly.
>For those of you who do not know much about dragonflies here is my "Sad Dragonfly" story from today & a few facts. ♥ I love dragonflies... & well, bugs!
>When I found him he was struggling, sad, & broken.. literally.
He had just gotten in a fight with another male dragonfly, probably over a mate or lunch. When male dragonflies fight usually it is until the death, they grab the other's wings & twist - & rip them off.
>Dragonflies have 6 legs, but they cannot walk. They can only fly or land. Strange. However, when dragonflies fight & lose- they can no longer survive.
I found "The Sad Dragonfly" today in my field. I was trying to figure out what was wrong with him, and then I saw his wings had been torn. He couldn't walk, so he was just kind of flapping his wings & not moving very far. Then I remembered that dragonflies cannot walk, and I felt the need to step in.
When I see an insect suffering/dying typically I move it to a safe place, that way it is not put through any more pain. [I can't imagine leaving an insect on the ground helpless to be eaten alive by ants or a bird.. Even if that is Mother Nature's way- not when I can help it.]
So I brought him inside, I fed him insects & tonight he died.
He had so much energy- you'd think he would be fine, but he knew he couldn't go on & he let go.

My Top 100 Places in Southern New Jersey, USA.. to take Photographs!
[14/100] : My back yard.
_______________________
I'm planning on getting a one specific photo for my 52 week challenge, this week. Hopefully I'm able to get out there and take the photo (at night). I really don't go out, besides work & shopping.. and I'm really predictable these days.. Like, I literally just work and sleep. *shrugs*
& Thursday night is my Aunt's service. If I don't get the photo before then.. I'm going to get it the night of. (which I'm kind of planning on).. which will make this photo - so much more important to me... For the subject "Lights in the Dark".
I have the perfect location idea for this shot... and with my Aunt passing, it's the perfect shot.
>>So it'll at least be up by Friday I'm hoping.
This photo was taken a few days ago.. the last snow we had. TODAY we had a bunch of snow while I was at work. It only lasted a few hours but it came down very quick.. I was worried about driving in it... (I live about 25 minutes from my job & Juan comes to pick me up). Anyway, by the time I left at 4pm.. all of that snow was already melting! *I was grateful.
I didn't get any photos of it, but oh well...
So I uploaded an old snow photo.
I wanted to update with a photo.. I added one earlier but not one people could comment on. So here's a photo with comments enabled.
How's everyone doing??
*Hoping everyone is good.:)

This photo is the one I\'ve been planning. I had to do a challenge this week for "LIGHTS IN THE DARK", for my 52 week challenge.. but since it was also taken at ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES IN SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY - TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS.. *Great Egg Harbor River, Mays Landing, New Jersey, USA.*
So since this photo is so important to me.. & it works for BOTH challenges.. I\'m posting it for both.
This photograph is one of my first real NIGHT photos. & I want to give a huge Thank to Patrick! jocomaflo Who gave me some pointers towards NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY & I used them tonight to capture this image.
Honestly, I was picturing this photo much differently than how it came out. I\'ve never really ventured into \'night photography\'.. or much into messing with the manual settings.. *I want to learn, I\'ll be asking you guys for tips soon!*
But I\'m very happy with how this photo came out!!
This photo is dedicated to my Aunt Diane who passed on February 3rd, 2021..
She was one of my NUMBER ONE fans with my photos. She was so supportive and caring. She was one of the greatest people, that many people have ever met. Her loving and vibrant personality really touched us all.. And I know she\'s looking down on us.. Still smiling. Still laughing. Still proud of us. And I know, nobody will ever forget Aunt DiDi.
She left footprints in our hearts.
ALSO: I have a question.. I'm new to the manual settings LIKE I SAID BEFORE.. & I'm going to be asking for tips.. (you can flickr mail me with any tips on using manual settings on a nikon).
HOWEVER.. I used the tips given for the LOW ISO : I set it to 100.. So how come this photo was taken with an ISO of 25600?!! I'm really confused.
Still happy about how the photo came out, but very confused! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you VERY MUCH!

Not sure why I love this photo so much.. it's just a tree.. in my front yard. The leaves looked so pretty tonight.. most of them have fallen off already.. but a few were still holding on.. and their shapes..the colors.. it was just beautiful. My camera couldn't do them justice.. but I love the photo..
