There were several old semi trailers on the property, two of which were refrigerated models. The doors to the cooling units were missing leaving the mechanicals and diesel motors exposed. It didn't look like either had run in a long time.

Since these units are near top of the trailer, I have to wonder how the hay/grass got were I found it. Perhaps a bird or some other animal had built a nest there at one point.

As I was walking around the farm yard, I quickly became aware that they had more tractors than I would have expected a farm of some 300 acres to have. Without actually counting, I'm sure they had at least 10 of various sizes most of which were Internationals. One of the employees told me that all were at least 50 years old although I don't know enough to question his statement. Another told me (in jest?) that they were lazy farmers who don't want to constantly have to hook and unhook various implements to a few tractors, but preferred to leave a specific implement attached to a specific tractor. Regardless, I think the owner is a collector and I'm glad he is.

I was amazed at just how many pumpkins, gourds and other such things were at the farm. I was particularly interested in how many varieties, colors and shapes there were.

I never knew that Case and International Harvester merged at one point.
