Route 66 in St. Louis, Missouri. The Dred Scott case was heard in this courthouse.

Missouri's tallest habitable building from 1864 to 1894, it is now part of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial and operated by the National Park Service for historical exhibits and events."

It's impressive from below, but even more so from the top looking down, something you should do if you have a chance. I'm pretty big for the size of the elevators up to the top and I'm not big on heights, but I survived and it was well worth it.

Route 66 in St. Louis, Missouri. One of the things I find so interesting about trucks is that they are designed for the specialized tasks they are expected to perform. This one caught my eye because of the vibrant paint scheme as much as anything. We had just made it to St. Louis to begin our Route 66 trip and were itching to take some shots. The arch is just down hill from this spot and was our next photo target.
