Taken in Falmouth, Kentucky.
It appears that this truck was once owned by Horizon Freight Systems Inc. out of Cleveland. The Kentucky licence plate expired in March of 2003 so, I guess it hasn't been used since then. One thing that caught my eye was the diagonal in the grill which is used by Volvo. White was acquired by Volvo in 1981 and produced White branded trucks through the 80's. Volvo later acquired GMC big trucks and produced trucks branded as White-GMC briefly before dropping any reference to White. I'm therefore assuming this truck was made during the 80's.

Batavia, Ohio. Not only does Tom have a big collection of old trucks, he also has some farm tractors. He used to actively farm his land himself, but currently has turned that task over to another farmer. He said he has actively taken some of his tractors to antique machinery shows, but I had the impression that he doesn't do that anymore. It's a shame he doesn't have enough buildings big enough to house all his vehicles and protect them from the weather. Still, it is impressive how rough most of them look yet he is a good mechanic and doesn't seem to have a problem getting them to run when he wants to and has the time.

Taken out of a window in the Cincinnati Marriott at River Center in Covington, Kentucky a couple of blocks south of the Ohio River.
This unique condominium complex dominates the Covington, KY skyline largely because of it's unusual style and makes for some interesting photographic challenges.
From the web:
"The Ascent luxury condominium tower located in Covington, Kentucky was designed by world renowned architect Daniel Libeskind who also worked on the rebuild of the World Trade center in New York. Completed in 2008 The Ascent features seventy condominium units on twenty-two floors with a total of 310,000 square feet of space. The top part of the building peaks at 300 feet and many of the building’s condominium units have a view of the Ohio River."

Taken through a window in an adjacent building in Chicago, Illinois.
How'd you like to live on an upper floor and have to use the fire escape in the winter to get to safety? I often wonder if these old escapes are periodically examined to insure that they are still sound to use. I know I'd worry, but I'm also pretty sure they have sprinklers which should eliminate the need to ever use the fire escape.
