Taken of part of the mural at the Visionaries & Voices studio in the Northside neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. The mural depicts Raymond in a style somewhat similar to his work as an artist.
I took this shot back in 2011, I returned in 2020 to see if I could capture more of the mural in one shot than I did back then. I found the mural to be very faded, the fence covered in vines and the small strip of land between the fence and building (about the width if a driveway) to be very overgrown such that I couldn't easily walk down the length of the mural as I did in 2011, so I didn't take any new pictures.
From the ArtWorks web site:
"This mural was designed by Antonio Adams as a tribute to Raymond Thunder-Sky, known as the colorful construction clown who traveled around the city with his hard hat and tool box filled with art supplies. Raymond was a self-taught artist who visited construction sites and created vivid drawings which inspired this mural. He stands as a champion for all of the outsider artists at Visionaries & Voices and beyond."
